Parndana delivered a reality check toDudley United last Saturday with a resounding57 point victory at Penneshaw.

The oval was in excellent conditionand it was a day perfect for winter football.

The Roosters were out of the blocksquickly with their midfielders led by BenGaskin and Jan Kuchel working hardand effectively to lead by 25 points at thefirst break.

Dudley matched them in general playbut continually turned the ball over.

Both sides ran and worked hard inthe second stanza but Parndana was stillin front 9-5 to 6-4 at half time.

Zac Trethewey covered territory andkicked a couple of excellent long goals.

Brad May had an even tussle withBrodie Howard and later Jack Gurney inthe ruck.

Parndana dominated the third quarter,and with stronger bodies and a moreeven contribution all over the ground, extendedtheir lead over Dudley who lackedcomposure at times.

The final quarter was a hard foughtnil all draw.

Following a late-season traditionalfootball camp weekend, stand-in coachSean Gaskin had the Roosters workingconstructively.

Experienced players Nick Dougmoreand Scott Jenkins (two goals) returned toadd valuable team depth.

The game was a serious wake-up callfor the Eagles; it is now two-all and theclubs will be probable finals opponents.
